Our waters are detailed below and are in good condition and aesthetically pleasing. This is due to all able members being required to attend an annual working party for which there is insurance cover. We have three fine fisheries available exclusively to members, one of which has a publicity ban, hence no reference to it other than a "Surrey Lake".

2010/2111 matches
Some venues for 2010/11 have yet to be confirmed but we are looking at Twynersh's newly re-vamped Match Lake and the Match Lake at Apps Court, both being in Surrey at Chertsey and Walton respectively. The Basingstoke Canal and the new fishery at Redbridge are also being considered (see match reports from Angling Times March 16 issue reproduced below) If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
Basingstoke Canal Winter League (Last) Ash Wharf (31 pegs) John Wright scored his first win of the weekend using pole and punched bread at six and nine metres above the willow tree for 11-11-0 of roach and skimmer bream to 12 oz, Simon Kiefer including a 2 lb perch on caster among his roach and skimmers from his peg near the Swan pub that gave him 11-0-0. It was a good finish for Farnborough Old Boys who won the rounbd and secured the league title at the expense of Oakwood Angling. Result: 1 J Wright, Reservoir Dogs, 11-11-0; 2 S Kiefer, BC Has Beens, 11-0-0; 3 R Hicks, Farnborough Old Boys, 10-13-0; 4 N Howells, Farnborough Old Boys, 9-7-8; 5 S Drew, Hounds of Love, 9-3-0; 6 G Bull, Farnborough Old Boys, 8-11-0 Teams: 1 Farnborough Old Boys, 10 pts; 2 Reservoir Dogs, 14; 3 Hounds of Love, 18; 4 Oakwood Angling, 19; jt 5 Colmic Apollo and BC Has Beens, both 20 Final League: 1 Farnborough Old Boys, 66 pts; 2 Oakwood Angling, 74; 3 Reservoir Dogs, 85; 4 Apollo Old Boys, 88; 5 BC Has Beens, 92; 6 Colmic Apollo, 94
Redbridge Test Redbridge Lakes (26 pegs) A hastily arranged test match for Mother’s Day saw some very encouraging weights from the newly created Redbridge Lakes that were featured in AT last year. With cables over part of the two lakes to prevent cormorant predation, pole only was the method and Mick Wallis on Lake Cuth used pole and maggot to land a mixture of roach, rudd, skimmers, perch and crucian carp for 24-3-0. On the same lake Geoff Lockwood used maggot or pellet over groundbait for 17-6-0 of small tench whilst on Lake Daisy Mick Herbert had 16-8-0 of skimmers, roach and hybrids on pole and maggot. Result: 1 M Wallis, Terrapins, 24-3-0; 2 G Lockwood, Terrapins, 17-6-0; 3 M Herbert, Terrapins, 16-8-0; 4 A Reynolds, Ockenden Bait and Tackle, 16-2-0; 5 J Hornsby, Oakwood Angling, 12-4-0; 6 L Edwards, Ockenden Bait and Tackle, 10-8-0
Colmic Apollo (Angling Times March 2) Match Lake, Twynersh Farm (18 pegs) This was the first open match to be held on the newly formed match lake and although there are a few more pegs to choose from, 18 is considered the optimum. Andy Davies was very pleased to land a 6 lb tench along wioth bream and roach on pole and maggot over groundbait at 13 metres to put 33-2-0 on the scales. Despite the horrendous weather, back up weights were encouraging with Mark Harrington finishing two ounces behind from peg 4 with 16 carp and four bream on pole and maggot over pellets. Stuart Sadd opted for feeder and maggot at peg 13 for 28-8-0 of bream to 6 lb. Result: 1 A Davies, Colmic Apollo, 33-2-0; 2 M Harrington, Colmic Apollo, 33-0-0; 3 S Sadd, Colmic Apollo, 28-8-0; 4 T Frost , Colmic Apollo, 22-0-0; 5 C Salmon, Davies Angling, 17-0-0; 6 P Rogers, Colmic Apollo, 15-0-0
