This beautiful stretch of the river has plenty to interest the keen river angler with specimen carp to over 25 lb, pike to 20 lb plus as well as the "bread and butter" target species of quality roach, perch and bream. Other species that have been caught include chub and tench. The large carp can, in common with their stillwater companions, be located close to the near bank so even the Mr Magoo casters amongst you have a real chance of success.
